TMS conducts 1st MSS in CX

Sept. 13--TMS , in cooperation with Cathay Pacific Airways, organized Management Solutions Series 1: An Introduction to Airline Operations, spearheaded by Patricia Tamayo and Ira Keziah Co of the Academics and Research Department, to mark the first of the many symposia this year that would tackle operations and management of tourism-related institutions.

Conducted in LKG tower, the seminar was attended by 20 members, ten in the morning and another ten in the afternoon session.

The talk was facilitated by speakers from Sales, Reservation, and Personnel. Video presentations supplemented information on Cathay Pacific's development as a major international airlines.

The company was founded on September 24, 1946 by American Roy C Farrell and Australian Sydney H de Kantzow. The airline achieved significant business growth in the 1960s, and in 1998 became the first to have a nonstop transpolar flight over North Pole.
